Why have a professional make-up artist? |
Peace of mind. As professional make-up artists, Debbie and Kelly
are skilled in:
Choosing the
right undertone and finish look in a foundation. |
Has experience
on contouring the face. |
Knowledge on
where to apply the blush if the bride’s hair is up and many
other contouring techniques for the perfect, natural finish
that is desired. |
How to blend eye
shadows - a great photo shot is the bride looking down at
her flowers or wedding rings. Your eyes are the window of
your soul - our goal is to have everyone looking at your
eyes not your eye make-up that is not correctly
blended/applied. |
What is the benefit of having two make-up artists? |
Time effectiveness and the fun of togetherness. Also, if either
Debbie or Kelly are not available, there is probably a chance the
other will be - this will avoid disappointment when you make the
booking. |
Do we have to come to you or do you come to us? |
As we are mobile make-up artists, we come to you. You advise us
of the location and on you confirming the time of your wedding, we
will inform you of what would be the best time for us to start.
Often with a morning wedding it is pre-arranged for us to go to
the hairdresser's salon and apply the make-ups there on the whole
bridal party working in conjunction with the hairdressers. This
is very time effective. |
Do you think it is a good idea to have an expert apply the make-up
on the bridal party for the big day? |
The Bride puts so much planning and effort into their most dreamed
of day and it is one of the most important events in a ladies life
- YES, it is vitally important to have a really complete
effect with the wedding gown, hair, nails and make-up.
It is recommended to have a professional hair dresser, nail
technician and professional Make-up Artist to do all the finishing
touches to make the bride look and feel her very best her big day. |
The other people involved in the wedding, e.g. the Bridesmaids,
Matron of Honour, Flower Girls, Mother of the Bride, Groom; do you
think it is a good idea to have the same make-up artists do their
faces as well as the bride? |
Yes we do. Debbie trained Kelly in her unique application of
make-up application and their technique is unique and accentuated
in the photos that keep the memories of the day alive forever.
From the point of view that the bride spends a lot of time
co-ordinating the colours of the Bridal party, reception,
stationery, flowers etc to create a complete harmony working right
thru in the Bridal party the professional make-up artist will work
with colours that suit the bridesmaids and compliment the
mothers/grandmothers with what best suits them and their attire. |
What are some of the things a bride should remember about doing
her face for her wedding? |
Preparation several months prior with a skin care programme that
is most suitable for her. (We are qualified to expertly advise on
skin-care) |
How would a bride know what shade gown would best suit her? |
